Update: Just got the harness back from Jack and YEP, I blew up 2 diodes plugging in the power wires backwards. LESSON LEARNED.
The good news is that Jack has seen this happen enough times now that He's considering adding another thingy on the thingy that would prevent damage when guys like me hook the wires up wrong :)
