Brief Description:  Door finishing and anchor nuts

Tonight began with sanding around the lip with up to 220 grit sandpaper making the door/nose fit flush with each other. The Z-Grip again is wonderful to work with. Easy to contour and sands soooo nicely. after coming to a good conclusion, I decided to use 6-32 SS Flush screws to latch the door with. My reason for NOT using a fancy latch, or mechanism is the shear simplicy of 2 SS screws. Replacing them is a non issue and there isn't anything complicated to Leak or fail. Case closed. I also took the spring out of the door hinge and found that there is a noticeable improvement in keeping the door open with the spring installed so it will stay. :) Also, I ordered some .090 music wire and WOW what a huge improvement in the hinge tollerances. This stuff fit right in like a german made bearing. This will be used on all the hinges throughout the aircraft. NO MORE PLAY. I then riveted to Anchor Nuts to the upper corners, countersunk the door and lip and it was done. Easy as can be.
