The second half of the day was spent cleaning out the 6 mounting holes where the brake pedal rails mount. I didn't fill them with wax, per plans, instead I used wax paper and am glad I did, Much easier to clean out after the glass above cures. I then mounted the pedals into the "new" position." Let me explain: I was a little worried that the pedal system would require a strange amount of throw in order to use the rudders and brakes, but was told today that the pedals only need about 2" of movement to activate both. This was GREAT news as I could now find a much more comfortable position for my feet. After finding the perfect position I bonded the rudder cable ancors to the sidwalls and laid up 2 plies of BID over the 4 sides and peel plied.
