Brief Description:  Rudder Pedals

The plans rudder pedals are installed in chapter 13, so we're going to roll with that. These pedals and forward Master Cylinders are from Dale Martin at Long-ez.com. Be aware that Dale can be sarcastic and degrading. I Manage an airport and cannot for the life of me understand why someone would ever treat their customers so poorly. I get all kinds of business when I treat people with respect and I assume most businesses understand that concept... ANYWAYS :) Despite the poor service, his products are a real work of art. I was able to spend 6 hours going over his instuctions and getting a preliminary fitting. My wife was gracious enough to hold the pedals in several positions while I sat inside and found what was comfortable and functional. I am curious how much stroke I will need to input when the cylinders are filled with fluid because the dry stoke is really long and almost impossible to acheive without dislocating my ankles :) I have also positioned the cable ancors in a place that allow the pedals to be adjusted fore and aft while allowing direct access to the nut at all times. Thinking ahead :) So the wife finally went to bed so I whipped up a little 5 minute epoxy and temporarily bonded the rails into place and got a good feel for the pedal postion. Happy enough, I marked the areas for the hard points and will start floxing soon. another day...
