Brief Description: Canopy wet sanded and new seal applied
I had the chance to get a couple hours in the shop today so I tackled the canopy. I went back and forth on wether or not to spend the time to Z-grip every imperfection, then repaint, but that will take a few days and this bird really needs to get airborne, so the canopy perfection will have to wait. Knowing I'll get a second chance to perfect the canopy finish, I decided to try something new. I added 2 separate strips of weather seal to better tackle leaky areas. The idea was to created an exterior seal, and then an interior seal to fend off any leaks that got past the first one. If the canopy will open and close without the added seal interupting the process then this will be a really nice solution. Or so I hope. So now the canopy is ready to be installed and it's about time!
