Today I had the great fun of wet sanding the lower cowling and then shooting the new TP Tools Urethane high build 2k Primer. This primer is in white and is basically a dead match to the epoxy primer I've used. I thinned it about 1/2 of what was recommended to still get some good build thickness but avoid the orange peel. Well, 78 degrees in the shop and this stuff didn't have enough time to lay flat before flashing off. The TP tools stuff shot better than the kirker, and covered really well. On top of that, I went back into the garage after 3 hours and found that it sands like a dream! I've never had anything sand this well before. It's amazing stuff and just took first place in my list of shop primers. Can't wait to block these out tomorrow and shoot the final coats. I'll be thinning the final coat to the recommended 25% tomorrow and well see how it lays out.
