Brief Description:  Fuse gets primer and a bit more nose work

Don't let anyone tell you it's easy to get a symetrical nose. It's always a little more here and a little bit more there...until you say "that's good enough." After shaping the nose a wee bit more I laid down 2 coats of white primer on the fusealge that was prepped this morning. Using the gun makes for such a nice smooth surface to work with but still takes forever to cure. On that note, I made the decision to use the epoxy primer for a final surfacer from now on. This will give the airplane a nice hardy white surface. BUT, to build the surface up and sand to contour, I've switched to using Kirker Perfect prime, a 2K Urethane primer that builds thick and sands after only 2 hours. This alone will really speed things up. I'll be using it on the wings, cowls, and wheel pants and I don't think it will be a perfect white match, but close. We'll have to see how it turns out. After todays primer run, it became clear that tomorrow will be a day of Z-Grip hunting and hopefully wet sanding, but I'm not counting on it. If she's still too wet then I'll be moving my things from my LEX hangar to the Georgetown hangar instead. Here we come!
