Brief Description:  Wow, the cowls match and plenums are hot!

Shop work today consisted of me deciding not to wait on final cowling glass work before getting the majority of it in its final shape. Waiting on the silicone hose, I added a round Z-Grip, sanded it down, then sprayed a nice coat of red guide coat, then another round of Z-Grip, sanded that, then finally laid down 1 thick coat of epoxy primer. Just the thought of contouring a white surface makes my skin crawl. I dug through the epoxy bin to find an almost empty can of black primer and another that was grey and decided to use them as the guide coat. This layer of epoxy primer was now a cool gunmetal grey that I rolled on. This will be an excellent platform for hunting low spots and final contouring before they get final white primer.
In other news, I added 1 coat of hammered black to the cylinder plenums assuming they would be taking a little bit of a beating while breaking in the engine and finding the best CHT's. I'll add a second and final coat just before building an all new set of cowls. :)
