Brief Description:  Hatch and avionics cover finishing

The nose hatch was sanded down for final primer prep. Rolling on the primer is easier to apply and several thick coats can be added quickly. However, Orange peel is the issue when rolling so final primer MUST be sprayed. After sanding it to 320 grit I added 3 coats of final primer that laid out nicely. I'll take the sanding sponge to it after cure to match the rest of the airframe. I had left over primer so I took the gun to the airport and touched up everything that I had broken through on the last primer round. Glad to say the primer rounds are near finished! Thank God.
Moving on to another one of those "I'll do it someday" tasks was the avionics cover. It's the only part that hasn't been painted with the Latex to match the interior so now was a good time to tackle this one. However, before applying paint I wanted to fill in the 2 forward most holes that I've decided aren't needed, so a little Z-Grip made my day. Gonna paint this one at the same time that I do final touch up work on the inside of the nose hatch. Hmmmm, what's next?? I know! I'm gonna tackle the wheel pants and replace my worn tires. Fun............
