Fun Day. The second round of Micro sanded down really well and only left some small areas to be re-done. I applied the final layer of Micro before Primer. Pretty happy to be winding down on this upside down sanding business. In other news, It was a HOT 97 degree day with Extreme levels of UV, so I went for another round of Vinyl Temp tests, this time using my new obsession samples from Arlon. The only thing to note was the 10mph wind that definitely cools the surface so I had to wait for a calm break to record the temps. here are the results: Matte Green Aluminum: 170 Gloss Mineral Fusion: 169-- Too much glitter Matte Aztec Bronze: 168 Matte Blue Aluminum: 165 Gloss Pearl Gunsteal: 163 Matte Gunpowder: 157 Gloss Gunmetal Metallic: 156-- Too much glitter Gloss High Silver Metallic: 147-- Too much glitter Gloss Silver Pearl: 145
Again, I'm astounded by the low temps I get from the Matte Gunpowder. This will be my primary color and that is FINAL! Yipee! Not to mention how Awesome the name "Gunpowder" is. :D
