So check this out! I landed 3 more really cool vinyl wrap samples that I needed to give temp tests to on the Wing itself. I tested the Avery Emerald Green which was pretty warm in temp and the finish was dated. Could see the air channels under the material so it was a gonner. I also tested Arlons Gunpowder Matte and Gunsteal Pearl Gloss. Both of these were real winners in the temp category but I'm really diggin the Gunpowder right now for it's massive Contrast and refraction levels. Not to Mention, today was 93 degrees, sunny, and the temp only got to 158. OH YA! And finally I tested the Vvivid Tech Art Carbon Gloss. What a fail! So it looks incredible, is nice and thick at 4.9mils but when I tried to reposition it to another spot, the corner came apart and the top "gloss" laminate separated from the Carbon Layer. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! This stuff has a claimed 10 year warranty and it didn't last an hour! Man am I glad I had this happen now and not after ordering like 50 feet of the stuff. Tech art Carbon is OUT! The final main colors I'm deciding on is the more expensive Satin Black Chrome, or the Matte Gunpowder. The Gunpowder is going to save me a solid 800 bucks or so and for my FIRST Wrap, it may be wise the learn the lessons on the cheaper stuff. Besides, Vinyl Technology is constantly improving and I'm sure in a few years I'll want something different.
