Brief Description:  Primer.. it's a wrap!

I got done filling and sanding the nose hatch and couldn't stop thinking about that section of 3M Matte Black wrap that I still had in the back room so I caved and decided to wrap the nose hatch. Still not the easiest job and little tiny crap can so easily get under the vinyl when wrapping. I'm thinking for a show quality job, the environment has to be dust free. But no worries because this will be specifically for testing tempuratures. The PERFECT finish is as easy as laying the stuff down. No sanding beyond prepping the substrate which 400 grit works perfectly well. I was also surprized how easy it was to wrap around the corners and razor blade off. Stuff is super sticky. I'm on pins and needles for a hot sunny day here! Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a black EZ.
In other news, The airplane got sanded down and filled, then I added 2 coats of primer that will serve as the final coats. It won't be perfect but it will work until I can get down to TX and perfect it.
HOWEVER, if this vinyl works out, I won't even waste my time on the primer coat, I'll just prep everything this summer and call it a WRAP!
