Brief Description:  Nose Hatch Delam repair

I used "green" foam for the new nose on this bird. The stuff is super easy to sand but has terrible tesile strength so after post curing the hatch on my last 80 degree flying day, the skin delamed and now requires repair. Because it's not a structural area, the repair can be cosmetic focused which will save me from new layups. The delams were made obvious by just a few passes of the 120 grit paper as seen in pic 1. As I sanded more and more It became obvious how bad the waves in the hatch had become due to post cure so I sanded down until I saw glass and then stopped.
I then drilled the delams for injection. I injected the 3 delams I found with pure EZ poxy and will let them cure overnight. I plan on using a roller to see how well I am able to bring it back to a polished finish and if successful I will roll everywhere else on the plane which should save a lot of mess due to spraying. I'll also note that delams showed up on the top of the canard cover but NOT on the airfoils. This makes it apparent that it is directly due to the use of green foam. Blue or bust people!
I may chance it and go ahead with filler and primer tomorrow since I have a flight on Tuesday and will need to looking a little better. I'll also see if any other delams show up after tuesdays flight.
ehhhh it never ends...
