My injectors are coming back from the cleaners on friday right in time for some warmer temps so it's vital I am ready to fly as soon as they arrive. I've now been able to add 1 round of z grip filler to the lower cowling addition and contour it down enough to be considered airworthy. The lower cowling will now be flight tested along with the new oil cooler HOPING big time for some acceptable oil temps so I can push this bird to mach 1! :) I'm already much happier with the shape of the lower cowling. I'm just hoping now that there is enough "suction" from the prop to pull the heat out. However, there are a lot of tests that have shown the first 1/3rd of a prop is affectively useless and even creates an air dam. BUT the new Catto prop has fenses that claim to solve the issue. Knowing Catto, my new prop may not show up until Jesus returns...we'll see :)
