I was told that Vinyl doesn't heat up as much as paint and that darker colors can be used on composites. Well I tested the samples I had and I'm not so convinced. I'm not sure if the aluminum plate affects temps comparred to glass but the temps didn't convince me. 40 degrees outside in direct sunlight and the coolest temps were the orange and grey sitting at 134. I was hoping for lower temps than that on a cool day like today. The true test will be wrapping the wheel pants in a dark color and seeing how they heat up in higher ambient temps. This will have to wait for spring. :(
