Brief Description:  inspiring the next

Today was cool. A new canard enthusiast, Jason, came over to observe my work as well as learn how to do this composite building stuff. First task for Jason was to wet out 4 plies of Bid over a flat glass surface using ez poxy. This layup will be used for making the Vortilons later. Finally, when the great layup was done, he came over and we wet sanded the fuse and strakes. It needs a little touching up here and there and she will be ready for what may be the final coat of primer. 2 rounds of primer is amazing if it works out. There are only very minor low spots left and we hit a few before I had to leave, so hopefully the gear legs and final filler will close out the day tomorrow.
Jason is on his way to the composite addiction and hopefully building an ez himself!
