Brief Description:  Block down that skim

In the picture you can see a few shiny spots here and there where the filler and skim coats weren't quite built up high enough and will need some filler to raise it up. No worries though I've learned from experience that trying to tackle the low spots before adding primer is a big mistake. It's better to let the first round of primer fill the REALLY small ones and expose the rest as a guide coat does. Then I can almost always tackle every single low spot and pin hole in about 2 sessions. MUCH faster.
I've also decided that I will be making a small spring loaded door just in front of the strut that will close up the massive square hole. A lot of nasty drag will come from that hole if not taken care of. I've also found that the Hidden Hinge I used on my nose hatch does not need the spring that came with it so I'll be stealing it to use on this door :) Should be a pretty easy project. This may push back the primer shooting to the first of next week though. We'll see.
