Brief Description:  Canard done. Canopy in a close second

Today was HUGE. I finalized all the last details of the canard and elevators. I installed the necessary Heim bearings. One for the pitch control and one for the Auto Pilot servo. Gave her one last good cleaning and wrapped her up in blankets to head out to the airport. I also removed the rivets from the one torque tube as they are unnecessary and replaced the an3 bolts with new hardware and torqued them to spec. I also re-confirmed my throws to meet the 15 up and 30 down requirements.
I then removed the canopy and noticed that the weather seal had taken on the "compressed" thickness and would not return to its original shape. Finding a good way to seal this canopy may prove to be a headache. We'll see. On a good note I applied the Sticky back sheets of 2mm foam from hobby lobby to the sides of the turtle deck where the canopy slides up and down and it works great! the next step will be to use some in black. I'm not sure if I'll use sticky back or epoxy thenm in place. Either way I'm hoping they won't need replacing once in.
Finally I taped off the canopy and spraying 1 more coat of hammered and 2 more coats of satin black along with it's matching new tape line of the exterior primer. Tomorrow she will be lightly scuffed with wool to match and the canopy will then be bubble wrapped for the airport as well. final repair of all scratches on the canopy will be done after final assembly
