Structurally speaking, the canopy pins are now solid and the flox was the fix. However I spent a considerable amount of time today trying to fill, prime, and contour the repair area and as nice as I tried to be, the sanding would not flush with the surrounding primer before cutting through the repair area. I'm going to have to re-think this this finish and it looks like I'm going to have to tape off the front of the canopy and hit the front side by HVLP. I REALLY don't want to re-tape the glass but I also don't want to fly with an huge wound on the canopy. More later.
