So I decided I'd keep the interior paint as it was and flipped the canopy over. I then thoroughly sanded and prepped it for Primer. I mixed up a SMALL batch of primer without reducer to brush on thinking I might get 2 coats. WRONG. I got almost 5! Can't believe how easy this stuff is to brush on and the TIME it saves from not having to build a paint booth and wear the suit and tape off EVERYTHING and blah blah blah. IF I can sand these coats to a REALLY nice finish then I may actually be tempted to roll or brush on the primer on the rest of the airplane. Not to mention no clean up. Just throw the brush away. Sheesh. Anyway I stopped at 4 thick coats knowing that I'm going to be contouring this primer tomorrow. I'm glad to know that a small amount of primer will go a long way. too cool!
