Brief Description:  A new idea for skim coating

A little silly to be trying new finishing techniques this late in the build, but I thought I'd go for it.
I find it takes some time to lay up 3 to 5 coats of skim in order to build up enough surface that fills pin holes and large gaps and it still doesn't fill all the pin holes unless a squeegee is used every time so I thought of an idea that may save some time and weight. I thought I'd try adding a small about of Micro to the resin prior to skimming it on and so far I'm really liking what I see. The added micro is tackling the larger voids and pin holes MUCH better and the added mil thickness is doing it in less steps. In fact I was able to lay down 2 coats of this micro skim one after the other and without any runs. Not to mention all of the voids are filled full. This is COOL. after sanding it down I'll see how well it turns out. The only thing to remember is that it's a little harder to spread, but 5 second in the microwave and it wets out really well. It now has a very interesting texture to it that looks like sandpaper but I'm sure it will be easier to sand due to the micro. I'll report back the results after blocking it out. This was added to the right elevator making it a total of 3 skim coats.
