Brief Description:  control surface primer and finish work

The control surfaces were sanded, prepped and primed again in hopes that round 2 here would finish them off. Unfortunatley after letting them cure for 3 hours I attempted to lay them out on smooth plastic to find later that they were now bonding to the plastic which of course means an imprint of plastic wrinkles all over the bottom of each surface. Way to go Nate. :) No big deal, I will sand them down again and and shoot 1 more coat of primer making it round 3 to finish them off. I did notice a few missed pinholes on them so all is not lost as I will get to tackle these tomorrow.

On the other hand, the wing is finished! I drilled out the drainage hole under the winglet and countersunk both this and the tie down hardpoint. I then wet sanded the entire wing with a 3000grit pad only to take off any overspray or foreign material. I must say this wing looks great! I won't be ashamed to fly in primer at all. And neither will the airforce brats!
