Brief Description:  Blocking the controls to 3000 grit

I sanded from 320 to 3000 grit. Again orange peel was a great guide to keep from removing too much material and having to re-shoot. I got really close on one corner and called it quits. I have purposely decided NOT to rid of all the orange peel because it would mean removing quite a bit more primer and the risk of breaking through is too high. When it comes time to paint it will all be sanded down smooth. In the meantime, the pictures make it look very rough but it's incredibly smooth. The peel is microscopic in depth at this point. In fact at the right angle a clear reflection can be seen from the surface.

I took a small foam brush and applied primer to the outside edges that were too hard to reach with the spray gun. A very few spots didn't get sprayed. Tomorrow or Friday the wing will come back down off the wall, 2 drain holes will be drilled and the controls installed and tested for clearances one more time. :)

Peace!
