After using a straight edge on the wing to check for low and high spots I concluded that High Build Primer wasn't going to cut it and I needed to add filler. Well I'm glad I did because the previous builder had no clue what the word contour means. From a distance it looked ready for primer until I added the high build primer and skim coats. Anyways, I started working tonight with the intention to prep the skim coats and add a layer of filler over the entire wing. Well I finished that and couldn't resist the urge to sand down at least the high filler ridges, however I was caught up in a sanding rhythm and 5.5 hours later I have an almost perfectly contoured wing....finally. A couple stops remain a little low and more filler will be added however I will not be final sanding until every last bit of construction is completed. On that note, Aircraft Spruce screwed up my order so I'll have to wait until friday to work on my rudders. Oh well, 4th of July tomorrow and it will be a good break for my shoulders sake :)
