The wood has I've made the tips with have shown themselves to change shape with different levels of humidity which is completely normal but not ok when I'm needed a rigid shape. Instead of buidling a pair using foam and glass, i decided to just add carbon to these. Later if I want to save weight I can build a pair that's nice and light using foam. For now, these will be used as my test bed. I went with 2 plies carbon prepgreg under each tip and then added a lot of weight on top to ensure they cure straight. Tomorrow I will layup my remaining carbon over the other side if I have enough left.
