Brief Description: Canard goes back in with some changes
I have a hunch that iLevil Technologies won't be sending my unit back overnight or anything and the forecast is calling for 75 and sunny on monday, so I MUST fly :) I capped off the pitot and static line and re-installed the canard but with a couple changes. I replaced the weather stripping around the canard with 1/16" as the 1/8" was too thick. I did a good job on those mating surfaces :) I then experimented with weather seal around the torque tube to control the draft a little better. I haven't got a "water tight" seal or anything, but was able to close out the gap quite a bit. Next I got an email from Garmin that addressed an oscilating issue I have when using the AP Pitch servo. It was due to me installing the rod in the wrong hole on the servo arm. I was able to move it in to the inner most hole and get a LOT more resolution out of the servo that way. This should completely solve the issue. I also changed the gain settings to match the Garmin's Long Ez install. Should be really really nice. I'm now ready to fly again :)
