The results are in and I'm shocked. I sent both my GU canard Lift tab and the Cozy Girlz Roncz Tab in for hardness testing and metal allow anylisis and what I found is a little unnerving. Here are the results:
GU TAB: 2024 T-3 aluminum - Brinell hardness: 135 COZY Girlz Roncz TAB: Unknown aluminum result with only a Brinell hardness of 98 !!
I've notified the Cozy Girlz of this issue and hope they address it with their supplier.
On another note, the ROCK hard GU tab went back in strickly per the plans including a 3 ply layup of UNI spanwise as instructed.
