Most of the time has been spent researching to find a solution to the trim woes. I've now decided to move forward with a design including a 5" aluminum trim wheel that is attached to a small sprocket and chain. The chain will then be attached on either ends to the 1/16" cable and springs. The small sprocket will give a finer resolution for better trim tuning while requiring a LOT less effort than Rutan's design, which is too stiff for my taste and many others.
