I originally began sanding down the rubber grips that came with the project, and while they were VERY comfortable I really wanted something a little more classy and functional. I ordered a teak wood grip from Mike at customaircraftgrips.com and wow, what a piece of work! BUT, it didn't quite fit like a glove so I began sanding and sanding and sanding till finally it fits great. Now, I'm tempted to carve a matching throttle grip out of teak as well. It has now been sent back to have the electronics put in and a nice finish put on.
Man, if I'm not careful I may end up with a cockpit that looks like the inside of a BMW. :D
