Brief Description: Happy Anniversary! Let's make a toast
|
|
Today WAS going to be my final Phase 1 flight but winds were crazy and my new prop comes tomorrow. However, Today is officially the 3 year anniversary of this long ez Project. I picked it up and trailered her home 3 years ago today, so I thought it would be fitting to somehow show my gratitude for an indescribable 3 year journey. And boy, I had the perfect Idea!
The place I put my water bottle is behind my right arm and so annoying. It's just on the armrest. Instead, I found that if I loosen my left shoulder strap in flight, I can easily turn and grab the bottle from behind my right shoulder...why not hang it up like the passengers! I installed the threaded brass inserts and she was ready to go in 1 hour. However, this isn't where it ends.
The bottles hang from the "aqua clip" and allow for a little movement. Well I really don't want the sides of the interior getting rubbed on over time, so I bought some "silly winks" from Hobby-Lobby and went with a very celebratory theme. A wine Bottle! In fact, I traced the exterior of a wine bottle onto the foam pad and cut it out. Now, this pad is functional in that it protects the fuselage from the bottle.
3 years in the making and as of tomorrow night, she will be free to roam the skies wherever the winds and "horsepower" shall lead. :) I will MOST Definitely toast to that!
