Brief Description:  More console work

First off I decided to move my headset jacks to behind my left arm. I saw this setup by accident last night on James Redmons build log and had one of those Eureka moments :) Simple plate with 2, 3/8" holes. I then moved on to the back seat where I found I could clear out a perfect rectangle into the foam where an Iphone5 would fit flushly inside. Super cool. Of course you could put anything you want in there but it's dimensions were for the phone. I then decided against the glove box approach on the left side and added another recessed rectangle where the Zulu headset controls will fit nicely during flight. SO far this day is going well! I then cut out a more square shape into the right console where the passenger control stick emerges and checked for freedom of movement. Finally, after everything was cleared out, sanded and ready, I made the call that the console construction was finished. This means fill all the areas where foam is exposed with dry micro and glass where necessary. After cure the consoles will be ready for filler and primer coat. I've decided to go all the way to primer coat because certain spots will be almost impossible to paint after the consoles and hardware are installed. This will also make it easier to contour the filler because I won't be in some cramped position trying to sand. I'm not looking forward to that when I hit the fuselage. :)
