Today's one and only goal was to accurately calibrate the fuel tank probes. That did NOT happen. Between killing my battery, not using a fuel flow meter at the pump handle, and having a fuel probe circuit go bad, it was not a successful day. And all the while breathing fumes. I called Nick Ugolini about the low voltage readings and he told me that the boxes "can" go bad and there's a newer version now that is much easier to calibrate. This news alleviated my frustrations because "new" sounds great! So yes, I will need to calibrate my tanks again down the road, but I already knew from experience that using 5 gallon gas cans is not a precise method. The good news today was that my left fuel tank probe was working and I was able to get it pretty spot on, and being my primary fuel tank, I'll be able to fly while tackling this probe issue. Hopefully turn around time isn't too bad. It's times like these I wish I had fuel sight gauges....nah! LOL
