Brief Description:  Final fuel calibration and filter swap

Interesting results today. I drained every ounce of fuel out of the airplane to bone dry. I then had to switch a few wires around on the GEA24 EIS in order to calibrate the tanks correctly. I then began filling the tanks 1 gallon at a time and found that I could only fit 22 gallons per side. At the pump I was able to get 23 in so using calibrated 1 gallon intervals it's obvious that the pump was way off. Calibrating each step one gallon at a time took several hours but now the resolution of fuel levels will be very accurate :) Glad I did it this way. Plus I noticed that just leveling the aircraft had a lot to do with when the fuel would reach the fuel cap. The aircraft MUST be perfectly level for this job.
After draining the tanks in prep for the w and b, I decided it was a good time to replace the fuel pump pre-filters as I'm sure 90% of the junk that may have gotten in the tanks were now lodged in either of them. This swap was really easy especially having the lines dry. The FINE fuel filter will stay as I am showing a very very good fuel flow rate. This filter will be changed according to the manual.
Today was suppose to be the day I got W and B finished, but due to the holiday, the trucks are behind and so are the scales so it will have to wait until Saturday or Sunday. No worries. :) happy Turkey DAY!
