Brief Description: Foam, glass and micro over the fuel sump repair
The large fuel sump repair has been done now for a few weeks and deserves to be brought back to it's original shape. I cut and bonded in a section of contoured foam inside the void, then laid up 2 plies of BID over the top and onto the surrounding skin. Since the West systems fast cure sets up pretty quickly, I was able to go ahead and add a really nice layer of micro over the entire repair area. Mixing it as wet micro helped spreading it on for sure with minimal build up. I'll sand this job down tomorrow and lay down another round of micro. She'll be back in the air in no time :)
