These strakes are almost finished :D I thoroughly prepped the sump blisters and fuselage, and attached the blisters with Clecoes and dry flox. Note that I moved them forward 2" from the plans because I've heard of guys having leaking issues on the firewall end due to constast flex and movement from the Cowling attach tabs that get installed over the top of the blister there. I am avoiding it completely now. The second part of the day was spent soldering the fuel probe electronics (PITA) and testing them prior to install. After testing showed good contact I filled the entire cavity with wet flox and taped over for cure. Finally, I went along all the strake seems and added a bead of dry flox. After cure I will be able to make a radius all around and apply the final BID strips and the strakes will be complete! At least until Testing them proves to be leakless :) More later....
