The final foam was added to major gaps and also to complient the fit and finish angles. The front lip was also created using a piece of 1" foam placed on the front of the deck, then cut to match the half circle. After enough foam was removed to give enough clearance for 2 plies of Carbon, the layup was added on top. The glass is done per plans however, there is very little Carbon lapping onto the longerons, so a bead of Flox was added as a strong point. This is an area where canopy hinge and deck meet and close tolerances are needed if a good seal is to be achieved. After this cures, the filler will be added to both the aft portion of the canopy as well as the turtle deck to create a smooth transition. All is well in the garage :)
