GREAT NEWS!!!! The canopy gas springs work fantastically well!!!!! I did notice however that 50lbs per spring is a little much so I've ordered 2-45lb gas springs. STOKED!
Several hard points needed glassing, however prior ro glassing the canopy, the underside canopy plexiglass needed to be re-taped and coated. After 2 coats of discoat the glassing could begin. The hinge hardpoints got 1 ply UNI and 2 Ply BID. The canopy frame points got 1 ply UNI, 1 Ply BID, the longeron points got 1 ply BID, and a little cosmetic 1 ply UNI was added to the aft most point of the canopy frame that will cover the hinge pins.
Canopy re-taped, discoat added and prepped for glass.
