Well, tonight I'm all smiles. The tensile strength testing I was able to do was very successful in finding that I could thread the brass inserts into Poplar instead of Oak and still get a tremendous thread and stiffness in the hardpoint. I was also able to get the canopy to sit closer to the longerons due to the added threads in these hardpoints vs the others. MUCH happier here. I applied a wet flox to the brass threads and threaded the insert into the hardpoints. I then installed the studs and placed them into the camlocks. I then added a bed of flox to the tops of each hardpoint and closed the canopy. These should cure fully by tomorrow.
