Brief Description:  The Mount is here!

Richard from www.fastlittleairplanes.com took a long unneccessary 4 months to build my custom engine mount. It turned out great with both fit and finish and will allow the UL Power 390is prop hub to sit in the same location as an o-235. This of course is going to be prior to the saber 8" extension that will be added. The mount needed a little filing to clear the castle nuts and bolts, however the biggest hurdle was finding out that the 4130 extrusions did not allow my 9/16" socket inside. I called Todd Carlin, the metal master, and he informed me that grinding down the socket a little is no big deal to get in in there, so grinding I did and now it almost looks better than it did all shiny and new. LOL. The trick worked and now I've got a socket that works. As soon as the bolts arrive from ACS, the extrusions will be installed and the canopy turtle deck can finally be completed.
