Brief Description: More nutplates and trimming the smile
The pants needed nutplates installed to attach it to the gear leg fairings. I installed 5 on each pant as planned. I then began matching the cutouts on both pants. Now what the heck... I have 2 very obvious smiles routered out to clear the tires but the front half seems like it doesn't change even though I keep sanding. I feel like if I have to trim much more I'll have to glass a new skirt over the tires or deal with VERY Happy wheel pants :) :). The good news is that almost everyone who's installed these pants had the exact same issue so I know it's not my install. I also was told by a fellow long ez owner that he decided to do the same cutout after flying with it covered and noticed no performance change at all. I may end up deciding soley based on cosmetics.
