I guess I was surprized to see that this large opening in the cowling has made oil temps worse yet again. I'm going to try a low pressue lip in front of the exit to see if it helps but after that, I'll be headed towards a scoop underneath. Personally, I'm very aware that NACA's are not good for coolers, but in the end, a scoop feeding a NACA is the best of both worlds. I'll be getting some awesome pressure recovery designing a nice long scoop like James Redmons.
On top of that bad news, the auto pilot servo on the spar continues to overheat and fail. major bummer. More fun problem solving ahead. lol.
