Up up and up to 8k feet today to test temps and speeds. A little dissapointed with oil temps at 240 and TAS of only 150kts. Although, this oil cooler scoop is real draggy and my wheel pants aren't on. Down at 3k I was hitting 170kts again. My climb with full tanks was only around 1500ft/ min so I'm hoping to tackle this oil temp thing with a really efficient and low drag solution over the next few days as bad weather is coming. However, cruising at 8k feet with Auto pilot doing its job and U2 jamming on the headset is pure bliss! I flew over to Land between the Lakes and M34 airport and back with no issues coming up. However I will say that the iLevil is performing very poorly. I am suppose to send it back for replacement or fixing but haven't had the chance to remove it yet. It will most likely mean removing the canard. BUT, the good news is that I found I have a small deviation in the elevators that will cause the airplane to roll right, which is what is happening. I'll be able to fix that up when the canard comes off, so it's extra motivation :)
