Brief Description:  IAT hack update

The intake air temp sensor hack was tried today. I plugged her in and the engine fired right up without issue. I did notice that the check engine light was on, but when I rotated the pot to show about 250 ohms the light would turn off. The engine ran great but when I rotated the knob through its entire 0-10k ohm range it made no difference. No change in fuel flow, no change in RPM. Now, the engine "might" be getting its mixture info from the oil temp sensor while the engine is warming up, which would negate the IAT sensor readings until oil reaches a certain temp. This was a ground test and I only got the oil up to about 140 or so and ran the rpm's to only 1400 during the test. I'm confident the mod is not going to kill the engine so I may go test it out in flight. Another idea is that the pot needs to have a greater range that 10k, but this is me guessing. I ordered a 100k pot that I'll test as well and will also run the UL Check software to see if the IAT sensor temp changes with the changes in resistance. Still, this is fun stuff :)
