Brief Description: Exhaust ports get 1 ply BID tape and micro
First thing this morning, I pulled the lower cowling off and trimmed the exhaust port glass a bit, then laid up 1 more ply on the exterior before adding generous amounts of micro to prep them for a smooth contour. These ports will not stick out very much but will be really help the transition of the pipes coming out of the cowling. The top cowling was prepped and got 1 rolled coat of grey primer and then was placed outside for some hot curing :) I then installed the cowling and added some z-grip to the top of the scoop to help bring the gap in closer and more flush than it has been. This work is tedious but it will soon be done and we will be flying again!
