This poor lower cowling has been so abused in its short life. A million changes while trying to tackle those blasted oil temps have taken their toll. Now, I have the opportunity to add a lower lip to the leading edge simply because the engine isn't in the way. I taped off the fuselage side, installed the cowling, and laid up 2 plies BID Tape over both. Tomorrow, she'll be removed, trimmed up and a 3rd ply will be added for strength, using Ez-Poxy. Now that she is all closed up, there should be much less air escaping from the gap lines. No prop deserves dirty air. :)
