Brief Description:  Playing catch up

The last couple days have been busy and I haven't had the time to log anything so here it goes. I did another couple rounds of micro in key low spots before heading towards the white primer. One section at a time I did what I could to bring her to a very complete contour. I know from history, that it's much easier to find and fill the imperfections when you have a single color surface. Spending time trying to find and fix them when it looks like camo is a big waste of time. Knowing this, after sanding it all down again, I called it good enough. I spent the majority of the day hanging up plastic, taping over the essentials, and prepping the surface for primer. Around 5pm, the shop was ready, and the bird was ready to change her skin. I decided to go for it and give her a full weekend to cure.
Wow, white sucks. It took 1/2 a gallon to lay down only 2 coats of white and she still needs more for full coverage. No worries though as this coat will serve more as a guide coat that anything else, but now I know what to plan for. Sheesh. I will say though, I'm going to miss my little F-15 fighter. Wet sanding begins on monday after a full round of z-grip spot filling.
