Brief Description:  Wee bit more progress

At the last minute our babysitter called and quit...yep that means daddy daycare. So this week has been slow, but today we found a new sitter and I was able to squeeze another hour in. I had added a layer of grey primer as a guide coat last night and came back to find my contouring was pretty dang good. I sanded it down with 180 grit then added some wet micro over pin holes and low spots.
At this point I know that I am headed toward, final contouring and white primer, so continuing to perfect the top of the fuselage may not be in my cards for next week, but rather making sure the airframe is ready for the big flip. I'll have my nosegear fork back next wednesday, and the NEW billet fork in a couple of weeks. Working with Alteg Systems on the fork has been a fantastic experience. I can't wait to release it to the community soon!
I also had some time to bleed the brakes in prep for going inverted next week and swapping out the brakes for a much needed upgrade. Tomorrow will be a day dedicated to going over the fuselage, cleaning and organizing the shop and getting it ready for an inverted bird. I'll admit, I'm anxiously excited about re-glassing those damn leaky sumps. 3 plies of insurance coming soon!
