Brief Description: New air vent in place and old hole filled
The air vent was sanded and prepped then installed in the floor of the nose using a bed of flox. Later, when a 1.5" silicone coupler arrives, I'll be using it to give clearance around the opening while I bury it in dry Micro. I'll then remove the coupler and the clearance will be perfectly cleared for the flex hose and clamp. I then used a block of blue foam shaped to fit the hole left in the nose from the previous location and laid up 2 plies UNI over the outside and 1 ply BID on the inside, pre-microed and cured for less mess.
