Brief Description:  Less wires, less hassle

Now I know this one will be a debate, but after flying with this engine for 153hrs, I've concluded that monitoring EGT's isn't really that important. Considering the ECU does not allow any mixture control, I'm not convinced that stairing at 6 EGT's is going to give me any advantage, and I've already had to replace one. Add to that, they take up room and add complexity inside the cowling. I've decided to pull them off and have the pipes welded shut. This should allow me to bring the cowl in a little tighter and rid of a bunch of wire :)
I also need to mention that the latest update from Garmin allows a Can Bus connection directly to the ECU for several engine parimeters. One of these being oil temp, so I won't need to run a sensor any longer! RPM, Oil Temp, and fuel flow right off the ECU will be really nice. No math or calibrations needed :)
