How cool is that. A local auto parts store sells Aeroquip braided hose! Killer! I was able to remove the coolers, remove all the hose, the inner baffle and prep the original cooler for re-installation. 1 new hose, new larger fire sleeve to cover the hose AND fittings and she is ready to fly.
My next attempt at solving the oil temp issue will be to cut out the lower floor of the NACA duct and lower it about 1/2" to allow more air to flow. This will actually be a pretty simple change and if a big change occurs, then I should easily be able to finesse it's new lines and make it look good. However, the real WELL Known trick to oil coolers is HIGH pressure air. That means a scoop with a good long pressure recovery chamber. This may also be the lowest drag solution as well if implemented well. More to come!
